It takes someone very brave and courageous to climb Everest. I enjoyed this video very much. Many prayers go out to the Shepras. Thanks for sharing.

"Ant" is such a fucking twat. "Luck is for the unprepared" - how about you make the journey on a route that hasn't been built up and made possible only because sherpas exist. They do 90% of the hard shit for you and yet this arrogant douche-nozzle starts preaching to someone with vastly more knowledge and experience of the dangers about luck. Egocentric rich people are ruining everest, all while paying sherpas absolutely fuck-all for it.

an extremely difficult achievement, superb footage and an honest story line from Ant Middleton, Respect to all who have achieved the challenge of Mt Everest , a truthful brutal account of why people die on this mountain as some were inadequately prepared therefore costing the lives of others

Sherpa that he thought was dying did not die. There is a record of all the deaths on Everest for each year going back decades and although some Sherpas did die in 2018 none in the way he described. One fell into a crevasse, a second died of a stroke on the northside, a third went missing but it was during a cryptocurrency stunt with a Ukrainian team not with Ants team.

Why would anyone want to do that with all of the people there now? Screw that. I hate waiting to pay for my groceries.. I would shit tigers if I was on a wonderful adventure like that only to be forced to deal with hundreds of people... especially when you know that about 97% of the people should not even be there because of lack of experience/conditioning. And the sherpa saved Ants life.. no doubt what so ever. If it was not for him.. Ant would be still up on the mountain.

The sherpas are the real badasses - they do 95% of the work for them, including the "first" up there. Everyone else has the route set for them, a majority of the gear carried for them and they have their hands held the whole way up.

it should be mandated that every expedition is responsible for insurance of the Sherpa's they use. So if anything happens to the Sherpa(s) there will be insurance to compensate their families. Glad Ant was respectful of them...shame he didn't try to encourage that Sherpa to fight to live. I know the situation there are many of these exact situations & have ended up with great endings from forcing speaking encouraging demanding them to keep trying. Sherpa's & their families need to be respected & compensated...as they should have their identities announced with every expedition story.

I totally understand the desire to hike everest but its nothing special anymore except that its tends to cost more and more and is one of the most important income sources of nepal (which is crazy). For me it would be totally undesireable to even stand in cues sometimes to reach the summit and block the ways for much, much, much more experienced climbers. This kind of commercial overusage is what destroys the nimbus around such places like everest. Whats next? mass tourism to the deepest point on earth via leasing-submarines? The only though guys here are the sherpas : P And the guy in the video is really... egocentric, acting like hes the first though hero to set his flag on top.

Still, incredible sportsmanship is required. It's like marathon or Triatlon. Regardless of how many thousands of people already did it before you, it's still hard.
